Wishing you a Merry Christmas

“Twas the night before Christmas

And all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring …”

Are you sure? Not a creature? Not a quilter trying to complete one more project for gifting???

I hope you are spending your holidays in the way you would like or enjoying the ways that you are spending your holidays.

2022 has been an interesting year as we struggled to meet up again, cautiously, after two years of maintaining our distance. Thank you all for all the stitching, cheering, and kibbitzing as we create quilted hugs to show our appreciation for the sacrifices of our military men and women.

The numbers are not quite finalized, but in Ottawa we presented approximately 200 quilts again this year. That is a lot of stitching. We heard again and again how big a difference this makes in the lives of the recipients. You have brought warmth and recognition to the lives of people who sometimes feel forgotten.

Across Canada, over 19,900 quilts have been presented over the history of Quilts of Valour – Canada Society.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

I hope to see you all in 2023 at the upcoming sew-days. ( Please check the information below, as some of the dates have changed.)

Stay well, stay safe!

Happy Stitching!

Nancy
