Face Mask Update

Good morning Stitchers,

I am sitting at my laptop watching the snow come down! It sounds like rain tapping on my roof, but I can see those sneaky white flakes. It’s a good thing that I have left the snuggies around my roses!

Anyway, I found some more information about the distribution of facemasks. If you go to Canada Sews, you will see that they have organized a liason between requests and donations.  They have patterns for two types of masks and for scrub caps.  Once you have a bunch of masks (or caps) ready to donate, you can put them in a bag, labelled with the number of items and type, and include your name and email address and drop them off at the UPS store at 207 Bank St.

My DH has commandeered the first masks that I made; they are very helpful in those rare circumstances that you can’t maintain the two metre distancing (like the grocery store). Since they are made of fabric, they can be thrown in the wash immediately.

Stay safe. Wash your hands.
